Towards the end of 2015, I have a desire to play the guitar. Knowing next to nothing about music I decided to search for a place to have my lessons. After looking at several places, I decided to have my lessons at Ivan Guitar Studio. After arranging a time to have lesson, I came to Ivan Guitar Studio thinking to be taught the same way as many other conventional music school. In fact, he was able to teach and explained to me in such details about compositions, variations, technique and many more unlike any other teacher that have taught me before. This blew my mind. Now after two and a half years of studying, I could play any song from various genre I want. From traditional classical guitar music (such as Asturias, Una Limosna Por El Amor De Dios, and etc), to many popular contemporary music, jazz, gospel, and etc. At the beginning, I was only aiming to be able to play Mission Impossible. Thanks to the very talented and intelligent teacher, I am far ahead of my goal and even preparing for the advanced grade guitar teacher certification. I am very thankful to have been taught by Ko Ivan. I hope after sharing a little bit of my experience, I could help those who are looking for a place to have guitar lessons a lot easier and enjoyable.
