This La Grandeur guitar is a special order from one of IGS’s loyal customers from Bali – Mr. Sidharta.

In his vision, he desired a guitar that embodies the characteristics of Indonesia. The challenge was to present these elements in a classy and elegant manner without overwhelming the aesthetics with excess or gaudiness.

After discussions, IGS decided to feature the jasmine flower (Jasminum sambac) – Indonesia’s national flower, known as “Puspa Bangsa.” We created a complex design showcasing the jasmine flower made from white mother of pearl for the petals, genuine abalone for the leaves, and sycamore wood with ebony dots representing the stamen.

IGS is very grateful that the customer provided extremely positive feedback regarding the beauty of his ordered guitar. He praised the craftsmanship, stating that it exceeded the neatness of imported branded guitars available in Indonesia.

In addition to aesthetic beauty, the sound quality was also highly praised by the customer. The sinker redwood used for the top has lightweight and resonant physical properties, resulting in a responsive, bright, and powerful sound. The back is made from Cocobolo rosewood (Dalbergia retusa), one of the hardest rosewood species on the planet, which produces exceptional projection and a rich array of overtones.
