Marking his first collaboration with Ivan Guitar Studio, Lodi crafted an exquisite instrument he affectionately named “La Campanitas,” meaning “little bell.” Inspired by several of Torres’ first-epoch guitars, this instrument embodies a blend of deep cello-like bass and bright, sparkling treble, beautifully evoking the sound of a ringing bell.”

La Campanitas” is crafted from an exceptional private stock of wood inherited from Lodi’s father. This wood has been aged for over half a century and carefully air-dried since the 1970s. This meticulously sourced material not only contributes to the guitar’s unique tonal qualities but also carries a legacy of craftsmanship passed down through generations.

In embodying the spirit of collaboration, this guitar reflects Lodi’s mastery of traditional techniques while infusing it with contemporary innovation. The result is not merely an instrument but a harmonious creation that celebrates the rich heritage of luthiery. With “La Campanitas,” Gabriele Lodi continues to honor the legacy of Spanish guitar making, creating a stunning tribute that resonates with a profound depth of sound.
